Category description
Overview Category includes an alphabetical listing of web sites for all publicly traded and major privately held companies throughout the world. The list also includes major partnerships, cooperatives, government-owned corporations, mutual companies, not-for-profit enterprises, and joint ventures. Public Companies Sites for all public companies whose securities are traded on one of the world's major stock exchanges may be listed. Private Companies and Other Types of Companies Major private companies and other major business enterprises should be selected from objectively published rankings, such as Hoover's 500, Forbes, and 500 Private. Do not list companies that appear on lists where the company must pay or apply to be listed (e.g. Inc. 500).
